'Within The Electric Field' began as a hybrid concept between an acoustic and digital approach to music composition. Utilizing the multitude of traditional instruments in my collection from around the globe to create a library of audio recordings, I proceeded to write material by designating points on a computerized light grid, activating sequences of arranged programming. Once the original songs were completed, I revisited each, creating alternate versions which introduced manipulation of classic breakbeats and application of special electronic techniques.
