'Within The Electric Field' began as a hybrid concept between an acoustic and digital approach to music composition. Utilizing the multitude of traditional instruments in my collection from around the world to create a library of audio recordings, I proceeded to write material by designating points on a computerized light grid, activating sequences of arranged programming. Once the original songs were completed, I revisited each, creating alternate versions which introduced manipulation of classic breakbeats and application of special electronic techniques.

INSTRUMENTS: Tambura, Talking Drum, Bamboo Flute, Buddha Bell, Tibetan Singing Bowl, Djembe, Incan Drum, Rainstick, Thai Gong, Rattle, Tingsha, Field Recorder, Sampler, Sequencer, Computer
